Voting Member Special Meeting
The Board of Trustees approved adding two seats to the Board, bringing our total to seven members. In alignment with our bylaws, we are holding a special Voting Members Meeting to vote in two new Trustees brought forward by the Nominating Committee to 18-month terms ending in February 2027. This will be a short meeting beginning immediately after the service and will conclude in time for coffee!
Everyone is welcome, and Voting Members are invited to vote for new Board of Trustees members.
Sharing Our Abundance
Each month, Unity Palo Alto shares a portion of our donations with a safety-net organization serving the San Francisco Bay Area. This month, we are sharing our abundance with:
Jasper Ridge Farms
Inspired by the comforting power of gentle animals and nature, Jasper Ridge Farm provides special experiences for children and individuals in our community in need of mental health and emotional support. Our programs reach a wide variety of people, from school children to veterans to retiree’s. Our animals will share their love and funny personalities whether a child is in treatment for cancer or a veteran is recovering from a traumatic brain injury. Time with animals reduces stress and opens the door to emotional healing.
We will put this donation towards our HorseHeroes program. This seasonal program brings a group of veterans from the Palo Alto VA and teaches them about horsemanship on the ground, and if they are able, introduces them to riding horses. We need volunteers to run our programs and take care of our animals. If interested, the first step is attending a volunteer orientation.
